Lead with Purpose

This online seminar will provide you with the skills needed to lead resident teams with purpose in the fast-paced health care environment. Learn from experts who have real-world experience in leading others with EXCELLENCE.

Professionalism in Medicine

Little is more important in modern medical education than bringing balance to the concept of professional formation; technical expertise in concert with the prized human-relations skills that result in excellent patient care.

The seminar presenters created the virtue-based Professionalism Intelligence Model to offer a structure through which residents can attain the skills they need to lead; themselves, their patients, and fellow-team members to cultures of high-quality care. You will want to learn how successful implementation of this model changes cultures for the better.

Case Study

Creating a Safe Culture Through Practice of Purposeful Leadership Skills

One of the participants, a chief resident from a Family Medicine residency in Florida connected with Dr. Doublestein, to coach her through a troubling relationship with fellow residents in her program. She was unsure how to handle the engagements as they were destroying team morale. She was unsure how to navigate the stormy waters but figured that Dr. Doublestein with his vast medical education experience, would be able to help her find a way to overcome the relationship lapses. He helped her see the authority she had in creating a safe culture through practice of purposeful leadership skills. She commented how grateful she was that Dr. Doublestein and the Leadership Solutions team provided the foundation she needed for her program’s growth through her involvement with the Seminar.

Closing the 'Trust-Gap' to Improve Team Dynamics

One surgical chief resident from North Carolina shared that he and his co-chief were struggling with an entitlement mentality from a few of their residents that was destroying team morale. They were able to apply some of the team-development skills learned during the Chief Resident Leadership Training Program that closed the previously-unknown ‘trust-gap’ that resulted in improved team dynamics.

Renewed Love and Commitment to Patients and Fellow Team Members

A General Internal Medicine chief from North Florida was profoundly impacted by Dr. Lee’s warning in his keynote address about avoiding ‘deformation of the profession.’ She took his call to heart and began to consider ways in which she had, through benign neglect, allowed subtle forces to warp her love and commitment to her patients and fellow team members. The Chief Resident Leadership Training Program was the encouragement she needed to recommit to becoming the best physician-leader that she could be.
